Nature of Mind Advanced Practice Retreat
With Tsoknyi Rinpoche
August 22 - September 1, 2018
Rinpoche will guide retreatants through dharma talks, practice sessions and specific meditation instructions to deepen and enhance our nature of mind practice.
This is an advanced retreat and requires attendance at the previous open retreat or having attended any open 6-day retreat with Tsoknyi Rinpoche or a 5-day retreat with Mingyur Rinpoche wherein you received pointing out instructions from them.
If you qualify to attend this retreat, but can’t attend in person, you may consider registering for the YouTube broadcast.
We wanted to expand the retreat mandala for Rinpoche’s advanced students who would like to practice at home and otherwise cannot attend the open retreat in Crestone this summer. This allows students 17 days of practice, if you combine the practice at home during the open retreat with the 10-day advanced retreat that follows it. To that end, Rinpoche has kindly offered to give meditation instructions on 8/16/18 for those of you at home who are attending the second retreat in Crestone.
If you wish to practice at home during the period of the open retreat and are going to be attending the second retreat in person or via the YouTube broadcast, register also for the MEDITATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS.
Rinpoche will be giving MEDITATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS or continuing advanced students from the first week’s retreat in the tent at the beginning of the second retreat.
This is a silent retreat.
Onsite check-in will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on August 22nd. You will be able to choose your seat in the tent immediately after check-in. Orientation begins in the Yeshe Rangsal tent at 4:30 p.m. followed by the first teaching by Tsoknyi Rinpoche at 5:15 p.m.
This retreat formally ends the evening of August 31st. Departure day is September 1st.
The scholarship application period for this retreat is now closed.
All retreatants are responsible for finding lodging and providing for their meals. There is no camping available on the Yeshe Rangsal retreat land.
